کارورزی از راه دور: یک مدل جدید از آموزش مددکاران اجتماعی در فیلدهای مجازی در طول دوران همه گیری کرونا

چکیده

با همه گیری کرونا در ایران، برنامه های کارآموزی دانشجویان در بسیاری از دانشگاه ها متوقف شد. آموزش دانشجویان مددکاری اجتماعی به خصوص در مقطع کارشناسی به طور قابل توجهی به کارآموزی های آنها وابسته است. به این معنا که دانشجویان در فیلدهای کارآموزی نحوه استفاده از دانش نظری را در عمل می آموزند. کارآموزی بخشی از آموزش است که حذف یا کاهش کیفیت آن می تواند بر کیفیت آموزش مددکاری اجتماعی و مهارت های حرفه ای آنها در محل کار تأثیر چشمگیر داشته باشد. در طی این دوران بسیاری از دانشگاه ها تصمیم گرفتند کارآموزی ها را به تعویق بیاندازند اما با به تعویق افتادن کارآموزیِ دانشجویان، سنوات تحصیلی آنها افزایش خواهد یافت و نظم برنامه های آموزشی به طور قابل توجهی مخدوش خواهد شد.

با توجه به شرایط فوق کارآموزی از راه دور می توانست بخش مهمی از نیاز دانشگاه ها را در این زمینه  پاسخ دهد. نکته بسیار مهم این است که تقریبا همه فیلدهای مددکاری اجتماعی در ایران خدمات حضوری را در دستور کار خود قرار داده بودند و کارآموزی از راه دور تا کنون در ایران تجربه نشده بود. کلینیک مددکاری اجتماعی آوا از ابتدای سال تحصیلی 1399-1400  طرح کارآموزی از راه دور را ایجاد نمود. در این تجربه 11 سرپرست در دو تیم مستقل  در 14 فیلد متفاوت در طی 6 ماه به 69 دانشجو در مقطع کارشناسی دانشگاه علامه طباطبایی خدمات کارآموزی از راه دور را در فیلد های مددکاری فردی 1 و 2 و مددکاری گروهی ارائه دادند. تیم سرپرستی خود تحت نظارت فنی و آموزشی قرار گرفتند و پس از گذراندن دوره های آموزش سرپرستی و تایید وارد فرایند شدند. در هر فیلد کارورزی یک مددکار مقیم معرفی شد تا با حمایت سرپرست دانشجویان را به محل کارورزی از طریق استفاده از فضای مجازی به صورت گام به گام هدایت کند. کل فرآیند اجرا به صورت گام به گام برطبق جدول برنامه ی  سرپرستی ارزشیابی می شد و نتایج آنها در تیم نظارت بررسی و به صورت مکتوب به دانشگاه انعکاس داده می شد.

Remote internship: A new model for social work practice education on the virtual field during COVID-19 pandemic in Iran

Abstract

Amidst the crisis of COVID-19 pandemic in Iran in 2020, the most of universities were announced to be closed. Today’s most in-demand skills are not taught in universities. An internship is all about gaining hands-on experience for social work education program. Internship is a part of education whose elimination or reduction of quality can have a significant impact on the quality of social work education and their professional skills in the workplace, but due to COVID-19, anything “hands-on” was off. Many universities have decided to postpone internships, but by postponing students internships, their years of study will increase and the order of their curricula will be significantly disrupted.

The COVID-19 pandemic propelled us all to think creatively, and in spite of the challenges faced, Ava social work clinic just launched remote internship by fulfilling students’ internship requirements, 100% remotely. It is very important to note that almost all fields of social work in Iran had face-to-face services on their agenda, and remote internships had never been experienced in Iran before. That is, an internship that you can do from anywhere. We worked with Allameh Tabatabai University (ATU) with programs that incorporate professional supervision courses, coaching, and 14 guaranteed remote work placements. Professional supervision support via a dedicated Internship Experience Manager. An Internship Coach connected online with students in work placements during internship curriculum. We recruited 11 experienced professionals to supervise over a six-month period. They served 69 students by providing 1104 supervision online sessions. All services were provided under supervision of 3 professional and trained supervisors. Strong communication and time-management skills, as well as knowledge of virtual collaborative platforms, are key to succeeding in a virtual role, since your students and fields will be across the country instead of across the office. Although this was a difficult decision, on a remote social work internship, students would have the chance to make a real difference in NGOs working with families, or in schools and community centers to provide health, education and support services to people who genuinely need help. Social work students worked under the supervision of local coach. A completely remote placement is exactly what it sounds like—all learning experiences were conducted online or via telehealth means, through recorded simulations, on WhatsApp and sky-room conferences or client meetings, and with a lot of computer work.

It showcases the significance of virtual connecting during pandemic situation and crisis response. Maybe it was time to consider a not-so-typical internship model, otherwise known as a remote internship.
